I am currently offering six different limited edition prints for sale.

Beaver Pond, January was reproduced from one of my all-time favorite plein air landscapes, while the three owl prints were adapted from an original watercolor illustration prepared for my field guide Eastern Birds. All four of these editions were printed at the Highland Studios, a fine art print studio located in Beacon, NY. They were created using the IRIS giclée process. Giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay”) is widely recognized today as the state-of-the-art process for creating fine art reproductions. The name refers to the method of printing, in which archival inks are sprayed onto the paper surface. The paper used to create my prints is 100% rag art paper from Somerset, and is entirely acid-free and archival. The four-color, water-based ink dyes have been tested and certified as fade-resistant for up to 75 years.

Autumn Patterns (Hairy Woodpecker) and Early Thaw (Ruffed Grouse) were both published by Bird Watcher’s Digest from watercolor and gouache paintings, after the originals were reproduced on the covers of the magazine.  The prints were created using a traditional four-color offset lithographic process. The paper is a heavyweight-coated stock, acid free and neutral pH.

Keep in mind that all fine art prints, regardless of the printing process, should be treated the same as an original watercolor. They should be kept dry, and hung away from direct sunlight. They should be matted with acid-free materials and framed under glass.

Each of my prints is available unframed and either mounted onto an acid-free backing board, or double-matted and ready to frame (Only 100% rag museum-quality mat board and archival materials are used to mount my prints).  I can also provide frames for the prints, as well. Each of the giclée prints will come with a certificate of authenticity.
